Earlier this morning on Friday October 3rd, we had our weekly athlete of the week.
Our first athlete of the week was Ava Bowman for volleyball. Ava showed leadership and courage on the courts recently.
Ava is in eighth grade, so go congratulate her. Next we have Andrew Parton for tennis. We will now have an interview with Andrew, “I felt happy and surprised, and it was great. I played tennis pretty well, I participated in team activities, I went to practice, helped out, I also played singles and doubles. The best match I had this season was the match against Woodward because it was 8-6, it was our best match and I won with my doubles partner Preston Marnet. I thought that there was a chance I could win athlete of the week because it was boys tennis but I think anybody on our team was just as qualified.” Thank you Andrew for a great interview.
For artist of the week we have Brantley Shanley-Balyeat. He is an amazing singer in Ms. Pottorff’s chorus class and outside of school. Brantley performed this past summer at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Brantley also performed solos at the Winter and Spring chorus concerts.
