Dansby Swanson, who used to play for the Braves, had many highlight plays at shortstop. In the 9th inning, San Diego was down 3-0, until Manny Machado hit a solo home run for the Padres. Down 3-1 with 2 outs and runners on first and second base, The Padres had a chance to take the lead in the top of the 9th inning, but the ball was hit just not hard enough, and Pete Crow-Armstrong cought the ball in center field to end the game and the series. Chicago will now play the Milwaukee Brewers.
